My BIG one year old!

Oh buddy- you are one! You survived our first year of parenting-wahoo!! All was good at your one year checkup, although mama was a big baby watching you get your shots! You weigh 20 lb 12 oz. and are 29.5 inches long. You are communicating with us like crazy. You call for tommy when he's not around by mimicking mom. It sounds like "Om". You pick up phones bringing them behind your ear and say "lo?" and then proceed to  have a very serious conversation. You are obsessed with outside and you point to the door and ask "sigh?" "sigh?" Until we take you out. You do the same thing when you see your pacifier that you call "tee tee". When you hear or see a bird outside you say "bur". It's awesome. You love shooting baskets, love dad's hats, playing on your car and in any form of water. My favorite thing of all is the endless amount of hugs you give lately. especially when you give them to your stuffed animals. mama just adores this sweet little spirit of yours that is emerging. We love you sooooo much Wyatt, we are so amazed at all the things you do, and can't wait to see what the next year holds! 

Belated Fathers Day post

I mean I can't really even put into words how happy I am when I see you and your dada together. You are so in awe of him and your mutually intense love for each other makes me melt into a puddle on the floor. Happy Father's Day Jim! You are the best dada in all the world.

My Little 11 Monther

Oh my goodness, where do I begin? You are doing so much lately I can barely keep track. I chase you around the house all day as you explore every drawer, door, and vent. You say mama, dada, ball, uh oh, woof, pop, and bye bye. You are the fastest crawler I've ever seen and you are walking along furniture but not yet on your own. Mama takes you to the park everyday.We are planning your bday party and can't wait to celebrate and sing happy birthday to you- we've been working on blowing out your candle!!! Your favorite foods are blueberries, avocado and spaghetti noodles! you still love the water and at the splashpark you crawl head on into the sprinkler. You pretend talk on the phone, give the best kisses and pats on the back when hugging, and imitate tommy barking and mom and dad sneezing. I mean... Aaaaaamazing.

Good days ahead

It's the start of summer break! Lots of fun days like this one ahead. You so love the park-especially the swings. Nothing better than seeing that big happy smile on your face!

My Little 10 Monther!

Wait, what?! 10 months? Can't even get over that. You are crawling! Crawling like a soldier, maybe but still! You are so determined to travel across a room and when I find you in a new spot you get so excited, kicking and screaming. You point at everything and say "dat"? You really surprised Mama when you started pulling yourself up into a standing

 position in your crib. 

1st Mother's Day!

I completely understand now when people say their life didn't really begin until they became a mother. Life certainly isn't perfect, but there are moments when it can be and motherhood has proven that to me.  I live for your smiles, your sweet voice, and your little pointer finger you point at anything and everything lately.  Thanks for the moments that somehow simultaneously melt my heart AND make it burst out of my chest... That's a mother's love, I guess.
